Thursday 6/25

It has been a very busy week at work once again. This week we reset the show room. They ended up using concrete for the flooring in case of any more flooding. We moved and cleaned everything and put it back to normal downstairs. That took all day Monday and most of Tue. Then Tue i finished up with the montgomery model. Wed. We had a meeting with the office about the single family homes. We talked about options that would go into the homes and did a brief overview of what all was needed. We talked about LEED and green options that could be added as well. Then we went next door to the boiler room to pick out stains and tour the progress. I ended up doing a study on sports bars to get some ideas for the place and how to decorate. We looked at colors and options and then did another walk threw. I ended up reworking the logo and am still trying to work out the logo to make it a little simpler and more direct. I will being working on that today and I just finished working on some materials for the Montogmery it looks like I will be doing a lot of modeling this summer b/c they are looking to add several other homes and place them side by side to help the buyer see what the neighborhood would look like. I'm looking forward to helping out with the bar next door! The pictures above are the Montgomery with some materials which will more then likely change and then also a map of one of the developments with the sold signs on them I did that last week but wanted to put it up. I did it for all of the maps so they could print them out and show all of the lots that are sold it makes it look like there going fast and that buyers need to buy soon. Next week looks like it will be busy as well. Well see what happens, hopefully more with the bar.

images before color texture and materials

These are the final images before color and texture for the Montgomery one. The final touches will be discussed in a meeting. I will be at the staff meeting so that we can talk about what we are looking to accomplish with the homes and what look we are trying to achieve. We will have to go part by part and figure out what finishes the railing are, the brick, the shudders, the window sills, etc. The whole process will take a lot of time plus there will be multiply revisions to the materials and colors and shades of the textures. The overall look should be really helpful to the potential homeowner.

mid/end of week 17th

Here is the progress for the Montgomery I thus far. It has taken a lot of time to get everything looking like the elevation. But so far so good. Jeanna has been out this week so I have mainly been working on the this model but also on little things like booklets for the homes. I also have been trying to find the best price to get the rug cleaned from the flood. Long week but hopefully it will pick up!

End of last week begging of this week...

Last week ended on a low note, due to massive amounts of rain the showroom flooded. As a result we had to take everything out and the floors had to be ripped up and taken out. We moved out all the displays and materials to a pack rat outside and talked about new flooring for the show room. I offered up the idea of concrete and it looks like we might end up doing that because there is a chance the showroom could flood again and concrete would be able to hold up a lot better then any other flooring. I was out Monday sick and today we have been working on identifying the sold lots in forest oaks, Elon, and Cv.

The First Week in June

This week has already gone by so fast it is wed. I have today and tomorrow to finish up my work. Monday I worked on the Montgomery ads to hand to clients and also the booklet that has all of the more in depth information. The Montgomery is a single family home that is located in Stone Gables a development in Elon. It has three different options and I have been putting together the plans for all three. The book and add are a combo of plans, elevations, details, furniture layouts and more. Tuesday we had my first staff meeting where we all got together and talked about the of the different sites. It allowed everyone to get on the same page about all the details. I worked on the Montgomery three plans and also printed out everything for revision. I also helped Barbara put in all the real estate contacts as well as group them so she could send out a mass e-mail. Today I will be making more adjustments to the drawings so that they can be finalized.
